Broadbeach with kids, sorted.
Flagged swimming, wet-weather plans, pram-friendly dinners and the free things the brochures skip — the family guide our concierge hands parents at check-in.

The beach, done right
Swim between the flags at Kurrawa, five minutes from the lobby — patrolled every day and the sandiest stretch on this part of the coast. Morning water is calmest; by 14:00 the northerly gets up.
The foreshore playground beside the surf club handles the too-windy days, and the rock pools at the southern end hold small children longer than any paid attraction.
Parents ask for the theme parks first. Fair enough — but the kids remember the rock pools and the 06:30 surf lesson more than the queues.
The desk lends beach toys, umbrellas and a wagon that carries all of it — ask at check-in.
Wet weather and dinners
Rain plan: the arcade level at Pacific Fair (one tram stop), the indoor climbing gym ten minutes south, and our own games room when you can't face leaving the building.
Pram-friendly dinners: the brasserie downstairs does kids' pasta before 18:30 without a fuss, the surf club bistro takes the chaos in stride, and the pizza place on Surf Parade has a play corner parents pray to.
Babysitting runs through a vetted agency — 48 hours' notice, $38 an hour. Book it before you arrive if a parents' dinner is on the plan.
Parents' cheat sheet
Flags at Kurrawa
Patrolled daily; the calmest water on the strip.
Tram, not car
Kids ride the G:link free; parking is the stress you can skip.
Early dinners
17:30 seatings mean kids' menus and empty restaurants.
The room setup
Interconnecting rooms book as the family category and are guaranteed at booking. Portacots are free — note it and the room arrives set up.
The rooftop pool is open to kids until 20:00; mornings are quietest, and the pool toys live in the deck box.
